Kigoma Tanzania- Food Distribution Ramadhan 2021

Kigoma is a city and lake port in northwestern Tanzania, on the northeastern shores of Lake Tanganyika and close to the border with Burundi and The Democratic Republic of the Congo. It serves as the capital for the surrounding Kigoma Region and has a population of 215,458 (2012 census). With Poverty rampant in the region due to the influx of refugees from neighbouring Burundi and more recently the effects of COVID have meant this relief was even more required.

Why an Apheresis machine?

Apheresis machines are used to separate plasma from blood. Plasma contains white blood cells (WBC) which are necessary for the function of the immune system. WBC contain memory cells that remember how they have fought previous diseases or infections. With the outbreak of COVID-19 across the globe, there are many countries that do not have money or resources to deal with this pandemic.
