TARGET: 223 Orphans @$50 a month

The boys and girls of Yemen are growing up in the world’s largest humanitarian crisis, now in its fourth year. The need to stop the war on children has never been as urgent as it is at this moment. Nearly 14 million people are at risk of famine. Parents are witnessing their children waste away, while vehicles transporting food are targets of attack. 2 million children are out of school and are at risk of exploitation and abuse. The children of Yemen have been robbed of their basic rights to life, health and education. With our partners in Yemen, our teams are helping thousands of children get the vital care they need. But we need your help to continue.

We have pledged to support 223 Orphans who have lost their fathers with education and welfare. The cost is a mere $50 a month.

FAQs

How will your donation reach Yemen?
Before dispatching any assistance, Welfare Aid meticulously ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, both domestically and internationally. Every effort is made to ensure that all aid is sent through legal channels, guaranteeing that no laws are violated in the process. Through this rigorous adherence to legal protocols, Welfare Aid remains steadfast in its mission to alleviate suffering and provide much-needed support to those in need in Yemen.

WAI will send funds to World without Barriers (WWB) a registered charity in the United Kingdom. WWB has a team of volunteers in Yemen who will receive funds from WWB via secure and reliable channels and purchase supplies locally which they distribute to the people in most desperate need in Yemen.

What about the blockade?
While there is a blockade enforced on Yemen, there are still supplies within the country that can be purchased by volunteers and distributed to those most in need. While this is a limited relief effort, it is still effective and will save people's lives.

Who is WAI?
WAI is a fully compliant, DGR eligible Australian charity. Your donations are tax-deductible and we are a transparent charity meeting the ACNCs compliance requirements and reporting regularly to our donors. Donations to this project will be sent to WWB, a UK charity that is also fully compliant and registered in the UK.
